Dialogue 04/28/21

Image
Now this guy is my other favorite! I used audio from a "Clarence" episode. I already had the character in my mind before I started so I just had to find a voice and phrase that would match his appearance. It took a while, but I'm happy with the finished product!

Puppet Test 04/07/21

Image
I really enjoy puppeting because it works so well for my detailed characters. I don't have to worry so much  about messing a frame up and causing a domino effect of chaos! I have used puppeting in the past in Adobe After Effects and plan to do some more in the future!

Walk 03/29/21

Image
Here's another favorite! I really wanted to go for that Scooby-Doo style animation. She's quite a sassy, mysterious ghost and I wanted that to reflect in how she sneaks around the empty mansion. I know I say this a lot, but I plan on making that background more detailed to give her the environment she deserves!

Weight 03/15/21

To be honest, this came out to be different than I expected. Obviously, she's bald 😂 I really wanted her to have really nice flowing locks underwater, but her tail and overall movement took up all of my time. Oh well, I'll have to fix her up too!

Head Turn 03/01/21

Image
This project took a lot of time, and I still did not get her mouth done. I think the hair flick works nicely, but she is missing some things and needs some tweaking. Fun fact: I used my sister as reference and did a bit of rotoscoping to get those angles of the face!

Pantomime 02/17/21

Image
Now it's time to bring the little guy to life! I will definitely be editing this and fixing up the speed soon, because it bothers me. I might also add more detail to the scene and character too because he's pretty invisible at the moment. Can you tell I was running out of time? It needs some work!

Gesture Drawings 02/08/21

Image
This is by far one of my favorite assignments for this class! I loved giving the little flour sack personality and little props. Designing characters is what I love to do, so this was right up my alley.

Overlapping Action 02/03/21

Image
For this project, I knew I wanted to use a swinging skirt. I did some rotoscoping to capture the movement of the legs and skirt, using the video of the woman dancing as my source. When I started this, I wasn't sure if it would be choppy or not, but I like it! I animated this one in Photoshop.

Bouncing Ball 01/25/21

Image
Since this was the first project of the class, I was really excited to see if I would be able to actually get something to move frame by frame since it would also be my first time using Toon Boom Harmony. I think it came out well, but there is definitely room for improvement!
